Product
Description: Cisco Systems Catalyst WS-C3750G-48TS-S,
48-Port 10/100/1000T + 4 SFP with Standard Multilayer
Image IOS Switch.
The Cisco Catalyst WS-C3750G-48TS-S is an innovative
48-port 10/100/1000 BASE switch with 4 SFP ports and takes
full advantage of the Cisco features in the exclusive
Cisco StackWise Technology.
This switch is ideal for midrange companies and enterprise
branch offices that require auto-switching capabilities
with SFP technology for other network technologies and
companies that utilize StackWise for improved network
architecture and performance reliability.

The WS-C3750G-48TS-S increases network efficiency and
LAN (Local Area Network) utilization by adding towering
resiliency with ease of use for the user. This 3750G also
has the highest rating of flexibility for stackable switches
from Cisco Systems.
Also providing medium-density Layer 2+ or Layer 3 GTTD
or ethernet aggregation with switch stacking ability with
fiber uplink ports, the WS-C3750G-48TS-S also offers POE
(Power Over Ethernet) of 370 Watts. Below is a figure
of 4 stacked and linked 3750G switches.

OTHER FEATURES
• Cisco StackWise Technology - One IP (Internet
Protocol) address and one command-line interface (CLI)
makes network management simple and easy on the WS-C3750G-48TS-S.
A 32-Gbps (Gigabit per second) resilient framework enhances
speed convergence, and 1:N stack master redundancy and
Layer 3 uplink reslience as well as cross-stack Cisco
EtherChannel technology and QoS (quality of service) increase
availability. Autoconfiguration and Cisco IOS (Internetworking
Operating Software) Software version constantly check
and enhance accelerate deployment, and hot swappable add
and delete of switches in order to keep the stack up and
running.
• Availability - The WS-C3750G-48TS-S gives fault
tolerance, load balancing, and a speedy recovery; with
increased available bandwidth with Per VLAN (Virtual Local
Area Network) Spanning Tree Plus (PVST+) by giving permission
to traffic on redundant connections; and sub-100-millisecond
convergence with Flexlink technology.
• POE - Power over Ethernet - This switch commands
370 Watts of PoE, which eases IP (Internet Protocol) telephony,
wireless, and video-surveillance deployments; intelligent
power-management features; and PoE combined with Fast
Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet.
• Layer 3 Routing - Also, the Cisco WS-C3750G-48TS-S
supports advanced routing protocols such as Open Shortest
Path First (OPSF), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol
(EIGRP), and Policy Based Routing (PBR) to advance network
scale; equal cost routing as well as multicast routing
such as Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM); Virtual
Route Forwarding Lite (VRFLite) to secure traffic; and
IPv6.
• Quality of Service - QoS - Traffic shaping smooths
a sudden traffic flow outburst without dropping packets;
shaped Round Robin guarantees bandwidth to mission-critical
applications; and Scavenger Queuing protects against worms
overloading resources.
• Network Management - Cisco Smartports speed up
and simplify configuration of advanced Cisco Catalyst
intelligent capabilities. Express setup simplifies quick
and easy setup through a Web interface GUI (Graphic User
Interface), and resource templates assist in tailoring
switch resources for the application.
• Security - Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
(DHCP) snooping gives only trusted ports to forward DHCP
messages, deleting rogue DHCP servers. Cisco Network Admission
Control (NAC) stops the propagation of costly network
worms and viruses; Dynamic ARP Inspection and IP (Internet
Protocol) Source Guard also stop against man-in-the-middle
attacks; 802.1x and Identity-Based Network Services give
only authorized people on the network; and port security
stops all MAC address flooding attacks - like email bombs.
• Wireless - The WS-C3750G-48TS-S models with integrated
wireless LAN (WLAN) controller gives centralized security
policies, intrusion protection, RF (Radio Frequency) management,
QoS and Layer 3 fast secure roaming for WLANs. This WLAN
controller si part of the Cisco Unified Wireless Network.
• EnergyWise - Cisco EnergyWise assists in reducing
company-wide power consumption and carbon footprint.

Summary: The WS-C3750G-48TS-S provides superior stacking
techology with a growing, scalable feature set. With up
to 9 switches stacking, the power of the WS-C3750G-48TS-S
delivers combined capabilities in a nice, neat, compact
stackable switch.
