NetOp Policy Manger

Redback's NetOp Policy Manager (NetOp PM) allows policy management and control across all SMS and SmartEdge appliances. NetOp PM greatly expands the capabilities of existing operational environments and offers a large variety of time based, time of day based, and volume-based services. 

NetOp Element Management System

Redback's NetOp Element Management System (NetOp EMS) is a GUI-based, scalable, and open element management platform for all Redback network equipment. The SmartEdge Multi-Service Edge Routers (MSER) enable IPTV network architectures beyond the capabilities of the traditional data switch and edge routers. As with existing network architectures, the core and metro distribution networks remain unchanged. The real difference is at the IP edge, where the aggregation switch or router is supplanted by a single SmartEdge router. SmartEdge enables the smooth migration from Asynchronous Transport Mode (ATM) aggregation networks to Ethernet services by accommodating the co-existence of both ATM and Ethernet connectivity and supporting seamless service sharing across all technologies.
