Used Cisco UBR7200 Network Processing Engine (NPE) Buy Now! IN STOCK!!!
Part # uBR7200-NPE-G1

Product Description: Used Cisco uBR7200 NPE with 256MB Memory, 64MB Flash, 3 GE/FE/E and I/O Ports.
The Cisco uBR7200-NPE-G1 includes three Ethernet interfaces as part of the system CPU.
These interfaces, which can run at any speed from 10 Mbps Ethernet to 1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet, are also on the same
piece of silicon as the system CPU. There is no bus bottleneck because the interfaces feed directly into the CPU at extremely
fast internal chip speeds. High-speed LAN interfaces that once had to share peripheral component interconnect (PCI) bus
bandwidth with other port adapters and I/O controllers can be moved to the processor to free up bus bandwidth for WAN port adapters.
The Cisco uBR7200-NPE-G1 functions as the central forwarding and management engine for
the Cisco uBR7246VXR. It connects to the chassis midplane through an industry-standard PCI bus. The Cisco uBR7200-NPE-G1
provides a seamless upgrade path for customers wishing to maximize the performance of an existing Cisco uBR7246VXR.
Cisco’s uBR7200-NPE-G1 Network Processing Engine (the highest-performance
processor in the family of Network Processing Engines) is supported on Cisco’s uBR7246VXR Universal Broadband Router.
The Cisco uBR7200 Series is another cost-effective upgrade for the next-generation of networking. The Cisco uBR7200-NPE-G1 has
doubled its performance (when compared to the Cisco NPE-400) by supporting more routing tables and more multi-protocol Label
Switching for virtual private network’s routing and forwarding instances. It has three Gigabit Ethernet/Fast Ethernet ports (that
does not take up backplane bandwidth).
The uBR7200-NPE-G1 does not need an I/O controller card, yet it doubles the amount of available I GB of DRAM. To be more
specific, it supports 256 MB (default), 512 MB, and 1 GB of DRAM memory. There are two DRAM memory slots, two 128 MB memory SODIMMs,
512 MB consists of two 256 MB memory SODIMMs, and 1 GB consists of two 512 MB memory SODIMMs. The Cisco uBR7200- NPE-G1 supports 64 MB
(default), 128 MB and 256 MB of Compact Flash memory.
Cisco’s modular uBR7200-NPE-G1 incorporates all the functionality of an I/O controller and no longer requires the use of
one either. This money saving feature has auxiliary, Flash memory, and console ports. If an I/O controller is detected in the I/O
controller slot, all I/O controller functionality defaults to the I/O controller.
Cisco’s uBR7246VXR has external cabling (fiber or copper) for different types of ports. Cables will come off both sides
of the uBR7246VXR, so you may want to purchase a cable management bracket too.
