Product Description: 1-port Gigabit Ethernet network module, 500M reach, multimode GBIC interface for ASX-200BX, ASX1000, ASX1200, TNX-210, TNX-1100 and ASX4000 or ASX4000M with the Network Module Carrier Card (NMCC).

The addition of a low-priced GigE network module to an existing ASX® or TNX™ multiservice switch will increase service providers’ offerings to their customers and provide a new source of high-margin revenue. With this network module, service providers can add GigE services and connectivity to an existing Marconi switch for a small incremental investment.

Service providers will gain the capability to offer GigE services such as Transparent LAN Services (TLS) by adding the one-port GigE network module to any Marconi ASX or TNX multiservice switch.

The NM-1ETH-GBIC-SX brings GigE services to the best-in-class multiservice network as it maximizes ROI by generating new high-margin revenues. It enables voice over IP (VoIP), video over IP, and video conferencing applications over premium.
