BigIron RX Series Switches Series
Foundry BigIron RX Series of 10 Gigabit Ethernet
(10GbE)switches offer flexibility, security, and performance. It
has wire-speed, non-blocking performance of up to 3.42 billion
packets per second per 7-foot Telco rack. The BigIron RX Series
offers a full family of chassis with interchangeable interface
modules.

- 5.12 Tbps raw switch fabric capacity, and 100 Gbps FDX
per full slot data capacity for wire-speed switching and
routing up to 2.2 billion pps per system.
- Non-blocking 10GbE and 1GbE port density of up to 128
non-blocking 10-Gigabit Ethernet or 1,536 Gigabit Ethernet
ports in a 32-slot chassis and up to 192 10GbE or 2,304
Gigabit Ethernet ports in a standard 7-foot Telco rack which
allows for maximum performance per RU.

wire-speed forwarding, filtering, and accelerated
convergence of IPv4 and IPv6 traffic.

Management (ABM).

Hitless management Failover (HMF) for Layer 2/Layer 3 with

Brocade Foundry BigIron 4000/8000/15000 Series
The Foundry BigIron 4000/8000/15000 Series maximizes revenue
per rack unit by minimizing space requirements for power and
cooling. They scale up to 232 Gigabit Ethernet ports, 28 10
Gigabit Ethernet ports, or 672 10/100 ports in a single modular
system with a total size of 17 rack units (RU).
- They support State-of-the-art Ternary Content
Addressable Memory (TCAM) and deliver large-scale wire-speed
Layer 3 switching, Policy Based Routing (PBR) and robust
OSPF and BGP4 implementations Protection against Denial of
Service attacks using IronShield™ security with wire-speed
extended Access Control Lists, Secure Shell, Secure Copy,
SNMP v3,and authentication with AAA,802.1x, RADIUS, and
TACACS+.
- Customized differentiated service offerings supporting
voice, video and data on the same network with (QoS) and
multicast capabilities.
