High-density (up to one CT3 of voice over IP (VoIP) and two CT3 of time-division multiplexing [TDM] switching), low-power consumption (as low as 3.5A at 48 VDC per CT3 of G.711), and universal port digital signal processors (DSPs) make the Cisco AS5400XM Universal Gateways ideal for many network deployment architectures, especially co-location environments and mega points of presence (POPs).
