Main Features of WS-X6716-10G-3C:
For the WS-X6716-10G-3C and WS-X6716-10G-3CXL
modules, use the X2 Optics. The switch fabric connection
is 40 Gbps (80 Gbps full duplex). The oversubscription
is a 4:1 ratio. When in performance mode, up to four 10
Gigabit Ethernet ports can be used to create a virtual
switch link in a VSS.1 (Virtual Switching Software) configuration.
The Cisco WS-X6716-10G-3C is equipped with
DFC3C for distributed forwarding and supports 256,000
routes. The WS-X6716-10G-3CXL is equipped with DFC3CXL
for distributed forwarding and supports 1 million routes.
The oversubscription modes for the RX are: 1p7q2t per
port and the TX is 1p7q4t per port group. The performance
mode for the RX is 8q4t per port and the TX is 1p7q4t
per port. The queuing mechanisms are: CoS-based queue
mapping and DSCP-based queue mapping.
In addition, the 16-port 10 Gigabit Ethernet
module has reduced power consumption. It uses half the
power per port compared to the 8-port 10 Gigabit Ethernet
module, providing major power savings to the customer.
The Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Distributed
Forwarding Card 3 (DFC3) is an optional daughter card
for CEF720-based line cards. The DFC3 provides localized
forwarding decisions for each line card and scales the
aggregate system performance to reach up to 400 mpps.
The DFC3BXL offers enhancements to support Multiprotocol
Label Switching (MPLS) and Access Control Entries (ACE)
counters on the Cisco 6700 Series line cards. The DFC3BXL
also has improved scalability to support one million IPv4
routes and 256-KB NetFlow entries.
