Product Description: Cisco 7200 Series - Network Processing Engine NPE-225 (128MB Default Memory), 262-MHz RM5271 processor, 2 MB L2 cache, and 128 MB SDRAM default memory (expandable to
256 MB).

The network processing engine maintains and executes the system management functions for the routers. It also shares the system memory and environmental monitoring functions with the I/O controller.
