Product Description: 4-Port Gigabit Ethernet Security Services
Module; the 4GE Security Services Module (SSM) is an optional I/O
card for the adaptive security appliance and expands the total number of ports available on the security
appliance, providing four additional ports with Ethernet (RJ-45)
or SFP (fiber optic) connections. Protects critical assets and isolates
workgroups through the use of secured and unsecured zones;
enables you to create policies for traffic flows, user
authentication, and protocol inspection to provide ultimate
control over network security;
protects the most demanding Active/Active and full mesh
firewall deployments against cable failure; and
enables redundant connections to help you eliminate a
commonly overlooked weakness at the link level and further
reduce exposure to costly network downtime.
